"For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder." — Mark 10:7-9

Holy Matrimony is a sacred covenant by which a man and a woman establish a lifelong, exclusive partnership of love and fidelity, ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of children. In a Catholic wedding, the couple ministers the sacrament to one another, surrounded by the parish community and blessed by the priest or deacon.

Marriage Preparation Period: In accordance with the Diocese of Wichita, couples should contact the parish office at least 9 months prior to their desired wedding date before finalizing any venue reservations.

Preparation Requirements: Marriage prep includes introductory meetings with a parish priest, inventory evaluations (such as FOCCUS), Natural Family Planning (NFP) instruction, and attendance at a diocesan marriage preparation retreat.
