"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord." — James 5:14

The Anointing of the Sick confers special grace upon Christians experiencing serious illness, preparing for major surgery, or feeling the physical burdens of advanced age. It offers spiritual peace, strength, the forgiveness of sins, and sometimes physical healing according to God’s will.

When to Request: Do not wait until the last moments of life. Please call for anointing at the onset of a serious illness or before entering the hospital for surgery.

Emergency Anointing: In case of sudden emergency or end-of-life needs, please call the parish emergency priest line immediately.
